Greater Accuracy in Force Calibration
As one of only four UKAS accredited laboratories in the UK offering calibration of load cells and proving devices, STL has recently commissioned two new dead-weight calibration machines with 25kN and 56kN capacities, a third 600kN machine is currently under construction.

These new machines, together with existing machines, are capable of offering higher accuracy calibrations, in both tension and compression with both increasing and decreasing forces to ISO 376, ASTM E74 and UKAS agreed procedures. The new machines form the mainstay of our new force calibration laboratory.
