The Chemical Analysis laboratory specialise in the analysis of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, and can provide you with a one-stop shop to meet all your analysis needs.

We have at our disposal the instrumentation and expertise to perform chemical analysis at levels ranging from percentage to parts per million in various materials other than metals, including glass for the major components such as SiO₂ and Na₂O, whilst retaining the ability to test at low parts per million levels for components such as lead.

In addition to our facilities for chemical analysis utilising ICPOES and spark emission we can perform C, S, N and H analysis in a variety of materials.

Other areas of our expertise include:

• Analysis of soils for metals content.
• Analysis of water for metals content and other components such as chloride, sulphate and hardness.
• Salt spray testing for corrosion evaluation.
• Exposure of samples to various temperature and humidity environments.
