Important and pioneering projects often have strict quality control requirements for major purchased items, such as pumps, pipelines and pressure vessels. Additionally, many projects in the oil and gas production industry utilise advanced materials, many of them for the first time.

STL's Corrosion division addresses these requirements in its materials suppliers audits. In addition to working with customers to select appropriate materials of construction for new projects, our staff audit test results from potential suppliers and visit suppliers and fabricators to assess aspects of various quality control, including composition, heat treatment and fabrication techniques.

Our extensive experience of laboratory testing enables us to judge the relevance, quality and validity of test data generated by suppliers. Our in-house experts in quality systems and statistics enable us to assess most aspects of suppliers manufacturing programmes.
